Second Week Adventures in Stuttgart

My second week here in Stuttgart was another exciting one, filled with lots of laughs, tons of company, and working summer camp. This past Sunday, Renee, Lynn, and I ventured on the train to Hechingen, a small town about an hour from Stuttgart to visit Hohenzollern Castle. Hohenzollern Castle, like the Neuschwanstein (the castle that Disney's Cinderella Castle is based on in Bavaria), is at the top of a mountain crest. The view was beyond incredible from the top of the castle. I almost felt like I was on the top of the world, looking out amongst the land below us.

This week's summer camp field trip was a short hike to the nearby forest where the kids got the chance to explore, make teepees with sticks and leaves, collect rocks and sticks, as well as play on the playground nestled inside the forest. The kids definitely loved getting to run around in the forest and play with sticks.

Yesterday, a bunch of the summer camp staff/interns ventured to the Culture Festival downtown, to enjoy some food and drinks from other countries. It's awesome that we are all getting along very well and have really enjoyed each other's company over the last two weeks here.
